Terrific new third kit for Club America. See, United, this is how a chevron is done. I love the colour shades as the diamonds overlap as well.

Welcome back Mr. Zakuani
In 1997/8 AS Roma made history. They had their highest Serie A finish of the decade (4th), Francesco Totti marked his emergence in Italian football with 13 goals and Cafu signed from Palmeiras. More importantly, however, Roma became the 1st football team to have a historical landmark emblazoned into their club home shirt.
The diadora home kit is a thing of beauty, daring to mix the traditional amber and yellow of Roma with the Colosseum. It was diadora’s 1st year as kit makers of Roma and you can tell they wanted to make an impact. Not content with a new kit design, maybe some stripes or a new collar - they went for the Colosseum.

A pretty daring move - I can’t think of another kit in world football that has a historical landmark embedded in the design. Sure, the Paris Saint Germain crest has the Eiffel Tower and the Mexico national kit occasionally has feel of an Aztec temple but nothing comes close to the 1997/8 Roma home shirt.
Sadly the Colosseum design only lasted the 1 season with Roma reverting back to a more traditional number for 1998/9.
Diadora, Roma - for having the chutzpah to have the Colosseum on your home shirt we at the Football Shirt Collective salute you.
